  J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (FBS), Washington, D.C.:
a presidentially appointed body responsible for formulating Fulbright Program policy and supervising the program overall;

Austrian Ministry of Science and Research (BMWF, Bundesministerium für Wissenschaft und Forschung):
responsible for higher education and research;

Austrian Ministry of Education, the Arts and Culture (BMUKK, Bundesministerium für Unterricht, Kunst und Kultur):
responsible for education

Austrian Ministry for European and International Affairs: (BMEIA, Bundesministerium für europäische und internationale Angelegenheiten, V),
responsible for advancing educational and cultural policy as an aspect of foreign policy;

United States Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (formerly the United States Information Agency, USIA),
responsible for federally funded educational exchange programs;

Institute of International Education (IIE), New York:
a non-governmental agency responsible for prescreening U.S. student applicants and placement and on-site support of incoming Fulbright students;

Council for the International Exchange of Scholars (CIES), Washington, D.C.:
a non-governmental agency responsible for the Fulbright scholar program including the peer review of U.S. applications and the on-site support of incoming Fulbright scholars.
