FULBRIGHT-SCHUMAN PROGRAM FOR LECTURING
FIELD OF STUDY European Union affairs, European integration,or US-EU relations.
VALUE Monthly stipend of $3,000, plus a lump sum of € 2,000 for round-trip air transportation and relocation costs (up to a maximum of € 30,000 per grantee). Health and accident insurance and visa sponsorship (J visa category) are also provided.
NUMBER, TYPE &
WHERE TENABLE
Two to four one-semester awards for lecturing on EU affairs or U.S. - EU relations, integration, and political economy at an accredited U.S. university. Successful candidates will be placed in an appropriate institution.

DURATION One semester
ELIGIBILITY Candidates must:
  • be citizens of the EU;
  • be professionals (decision makers, policy makers, individuals in industry, the media, politics, academia and public administration;
  • have a doctoral degree or equivalent professional experience and at least two years of professional experience before before departure for the United States
  • have academic/professional experience in at least two different E.U. countries;
  • have personal qualities, a proven level of academic or professional excellence as well as outstanding records;
  • be proficient in English.


Please note that current or retired officials of Community institutions are not eligible to apply.

METHOD OF
APPLICATION
Final application forms duly completed must reach the Commission for Educational Exchange between the United States of America, Belgium and Luxemburg by March 1.
