Location: University of Applied Sciences, FH Campus Wien is located in southern Vienna.
Benefits: €5,000 per month, accident and health insurance and a travel grant (€800).
Language: Lecturing and research is in English. (Some knowledge of German is desirable.)
Qualifications: Open to all academics and professionals with appropriate terminal degrees, teaching experience, and expertise. Applications are sought in the following disciplines: Architecture, Civil Engineering, Social Work.
Grant Activity: A flexible combination of research and teaching activities that include teaching a minimum of two class sessions (90 minutes each) per week in one of the specializations listed below. Related activities may also include advising or supervising advanced students as well as developing joint research projects with faculty.
Specialization(s): The Department of Building and Design is particularly but not exclusively interested in scholars whose teaching and research interests center on sustainable architecture as well as on transdisciplinary teaching methods for architects and civil engineers.
The Department of Social Work is particularly but not exclusively interested in scholars whose teaching and research interests are centrally associated with international social work, human rights aspects in migration, and disaster management.
Comments: Proposals should outline candidates' teaching and research interests and agendas. Affiliation for candidates with appropriate departments is arranged by host institution. Format and content of individual courses and research objectives are negotiated on a consensual basis with the host institution, contingent upon its needs and the grantee’s interests and expertise.
