House and Senate Appropriations Committees Recommend Maintaining Fulbright Funding

Joint Session of Congress (public domain: goo.gl/YfKk07)

The House and Senate Committees on Appropriations and their Subcommittes on State-Foreign Relations have recommended that funding for the Fulbright Program not be cut for fiscal year 2015, and the House subcommittee has even recommended a 1% increase in the Fulbright budget.

While the fiscal year 2015 budget has yet to be passed, the actions of the House and Senate Appropriations Committees and the Subcommittes on State-Foreign Relations constitute a very encouraging sign in the ongoing struggle to preserve Fulbright funding.
