Comments: The BOKU-Center of Agricultural Science (BOKU-CAS) is an emerging virtual platform bringing together advanced research and teaching in agricultural sciences at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna. Grantees will finally be affiliated to BOKU research institutes according to their respective scientific background. Candidates applying should indicate how their own expertise and experience is fostering advanced research and teaching of modern agricultural science at the BOKU. Specialization: The host institution seeks candidates from agricultural sciences (soil, plant, livestock, engineering, or economics) with research focus at the cutting edge to life sciences in general (e.g. biology, physiology, and genetics). Advanced experimental and analytical expertises with living organisms or ecosystems (including soil) are highly welcome.
Assignment: A flexible combination of teaching at an advanced graduate level, the advising and supervision of Ph.D. candidates, and collaborative research to be negotiated with the host institution.
Benefits: Euro 5,000 per month, a travel grant of Euro 800 for the grantee only, health and accident insurance, and monthly allowances of Euro 145 per accompanying dependent (up to 3). Housing costs are paid by the grantee.
