Comments Pertinent to Writing/Submitting Your Application

You can write your essay in German or English. Write in the language in which you feel most at ease.
A comment upon writing style and content: The ultimate purpose for writing an application essay is to convey to us a sense of who YOU are. Therefore, it is usually best to write whatever flows naturally (that is, assuming it bears a degree of relevance to the subject matter, i.e., you). Perhaps the most valuable advice one can give is to be sincere.
Good letters of recommendation (from people who are in an appropriate position to comment upon your work ethic and other related beneficial qualities) always work in your favor.
Because one of the major goals of this program is to give future German teachers in the U.S. some excellent teaching experience, it always helps if you want to be one.
Only COMPLETE applications will be considered.
