Resources for US English Language Teaching Assistants

   
 
A Handbook for U.S. Teaching Assistants in Austria provides information based on a survey of former US TAs in Austria and has been conceived to help new TAs to prepare for their assignments and guide them through the steps of getting settled in Austria.
Information für FremdsprachenassistentInnen are the official guidlines for teaching assistants in Austria from the Ministry of Education. In particular, they outline the duties that come with TA-assignments.
A webpage for Foreign Language Assistants in Austria, including profiles and lesson plans, designed by Herb Reiter (who is responsible for the TA seminar in Saalbach-Hinterglemm).
Another source of information for Teaching Assistants is the British Council website.
Please use the following sites for locating the authorities responsible for registration with the Austrian authorities (Meldeamt) and handling your application for a residency permit (Magistrat or Bezirkshauptmannschaft).
