As part of his Fulbright Specialist residency in Vienna, organized by TONSPUR Kunstverein Wien, Paul D. Miller—also known as DJ Spooky—developed a three-part series of public lectures. In this second lecture, he will present a series of current compositions for a new film score he did for a digital restoration of Sergei Eisenstein's classic film ¡Que viva México! and will show excerpts of the film and several other highly influential film makers who shaped 20th- and now 21st-century narrative politics, from Leni Riefenstahl, Sergei Eisenstein, and DW Griffith to our current social-media and digital-media platforms.
