Dear Fulbright Austria community,

Our thoughts are with the people in Israel. The brutal attack on Israel by Hamas is to be condemned in the strongest possible terms. Our sympathy in this difficult time goes out to the victims, their families, and everyone who has been affected by the attack. There is no justification for terror, and it must be stopped.

In these difficult times in which the face of terror is so omnipresent, we can—as a community and as individuals—embody the values at the core of our programs: compassion, empathy, and mutual understanding.
