Julia Petron was born and raised in Minnesota in the United States, where she received a bachelor’s degree in German and pre-medicine with a focus on global health and interculturalism. During her bachelor’s program, she recognized her passion for international higher education while enjoying academic exchange programs in both Germany and South Africa. After graduating in 2020, Julia moved to Austria, where she taught as a USTA in Viennese schools from 2020 to 2022. In 2021, she began a master's program at the University of Vienna in the Cultural Differences and Transnational Processes program, in which she focuses on a variety of migration-related topics. Julia greatly looks forward to continuing to promote Fulbright Austria's mission as a new member of the team.
