Lauren Christina Moser, CMP, was born in the US state of Maryland and has lived in Austria for more than 25 years. She graduated summa cum laude from American University in Washington, DC, with a degree in public communication and German and a certificate in teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL). Lauren’s Fulbright Austria journey began in 2002, when she completed a two-year assignment as a US teaching assistant in Styria in the USTA Program administered by Fulbright Austria. Lauren is a certified meeting professional (CMP) with certification from the Events Industry Council and has nearly 20 years of experience in corporate global meetings and events—experience she primarily gained working for multinational fintech companies, including Western Union and Convera. During her time at Western Union, Lauren served as an ambassador for the Western Union Foundation, supporting fundraising, outreach, and events targeted at migrant and educationally underserved communities. Lauren lives on Lake Neusiedl and enjoys cooking, entertaining, and paddling on the lake. She is excited to join Fulbright Austria and bring her passion for its purpose to life through its diverse alum community.
