On June 22, it was time to say goodbye not only to the US Fulbright Students and Scholars who studied and taught in Austria during the past academic year but also to the Austrian Fulbright Students, Scholars, and FLTAs who will be going to the US this fall. For the Austrian Fulbright Student and FLTA grantees, the event marked the end of a successful coaching and placement process that led to their enrollment at universities all over the US. They participated in a pre-departure orientation session in the afternoon and then met up with the US Fulbright Students and Scholars for a going-away party at a traditional Viennese wine tavern (Heurigen).
