Public Lecture, US Scholar Elowyn Yager, Monday, March 20, 2018, BOKU

Fulbright Austria and BOKU – Universität for Bodenkultur Wien (University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences) celebrated the 10th anniversary of their partnership this week. On this occasion, Elowyn Yager, the current Fulbright-University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Visiting Professor gave a public lecture on “Rivers, rocks, fish, and floods.” In her lecture, Elowyn explored some of the physical processes that occur in rivers from short (turbulence) to long (mountain erosion) timescales. She also examined how ecological and human activities impact rivers.

The University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences is a prime teaching a research institution that connects natural sciences, engineering, and economic sciences.
