Timothy "Tim" Bulens grew up in Norwell, Massachusetts, a small town about 20 miles south of Boston. He attended Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, where he studied political science and German. Outside of the classroom he played lacrosse, served as a residential advisor, and worked as a teaching assistant for the German department. In his free time Tim likes to travel, read, and hike. His favorite book is Catch 22 by Joseph Heller, and he studied Spanish and teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) in Peru in summer 2019. He lived with a host family in Braunschweig, Germany, for two months when he was 16 and studied abroad in Dresden, Germany, when he was 20. When at home Tim enjoys spending time with his parents, younger brother, and two dogs.
