Alexis Triforo is currently an English teaching assistant through Fulbright Austria and a master's student at Alpen-Adria-Universität, studying video game engineering and design. She balances her love for teaching and her passion for video games by incorporating video games in the classroom curriculum to enhance ESL learning and understanding.
Before moving to Klagenfurt, Austria, Alexis studied German and international business at Penn State University. While studying, she worked as an assistant in a linguistic-focused laboratory using an eye-tracker to track and calculate how second-language learners of German comprehend case and gender. She also spent a year working at World in Conversation, a race-relations public diplomacy center, where she facilitated West/East dialogues between local American students and international Chinese students.
In her free time, Alexis enjoys reading fiction, traveling, and learning how to develop mobile apps.
