James J. Kennelly is professor of international business at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. He holds an MBA and PhD in international business from the Stern School of Business at NYU and a BS in accounting from Montclair State University. His current research interests center broadly on sustainable enterprise and on the importance of locally rooted, place-based enterprises as valuable components of a sustainable and successful economy and society. His most recent co-authored book (with Dietmar Sternad and Finbarr Bradley) is Digging Deeper: How Purpose-Driven Enterprises Create Real Value (Greenleaf Publishing).
