Stephanie DePrez is a multi-faceted performer and educator beginning her second year as a USTA.
Stephanie DePrez holds a master's in music in voice from the University of California Los Angeles, where she was the recipient of the Mimi Alpert Feldman Scholarship for Voice, the Fritz Altmann Scholarship, and a Graduate Division Scholarship and was the 2018 graduate commencement speaker. Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Film Production/Television Studies from the University of Notre Dame, where she was a three-time recipient of the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program travel grant, which sponsored her first visit to Vienna to study the music of Franz Schubert in 2011.
With seven years of experience teaching at the high-school and elementary levels, Stephanie brings a breadth of experience to her role as a USTA. She was the recipient of the Rotary Club of Palm Desert, California “Spirit of Service in Education Award” in 2015 while on faculty at Xavier College Preparatory High School for her work leading student immersion trips to El Salvador and East Los Angeles.
Stephanie is an accomplished opera singer and has performed in Los Angeles, New York, and Berlin. She was invited to be a Wagner Institute Fellow with the Miami Classical Music Festival in the summer of 2020, now 2021. She is a stand-up comedian and has performed all over Vienna, most recently at the Hear Me Roar arts festival’s all-female comedy night in March of 2020.
