Will Radford was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, with a love for music and the outdoors. Growing up, Will played the saxophone and clarinet in school bands as well as in his father's blues and soul band during middle and high school. The Radford family could usually be found on camping trips in the beautiful Pacific Northwest during summer break. Will enjoyed plenty of outdoor opportunities as a member of Boy Scout Troop 827 and earned his Eagle Scout rank in 2012. During high school, his love for jazz saxophone emerged, and he decided to attend Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington, to study music education. Will spent a semester in Vienna studying German and music at IES Abroad in fall 2016. Upon graduating, Will volunteered as a kitchen assistant at Holden Village in Chelan, Washington, worked as a substitute teacher in Tacoma, and served as a teen expedition guide for bike touring programs at YMCA Camp Orkila on Orcas Island, Washington. During the 2018–19 school year, Will taught English in Sanxia, Taiwan. Will worked at BAfEP and HAK Liezen in 2019–20 and is excited to continue to learn and live in Austria as a US teaching assistant for a second term in the 2020–21 school year.
