Matthew Hellenbrand graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in May 2020. He graduated with a double major in international global studies with a concentration in human rights and languages, literatures and cultures major with a concentration in German studies. He was a member of the Lloyd International Honors College and is a member of the German National Honors Society. He also studied abroad in Konstanz, Germany, at the University of Konstanz in spring 2018. Matthew has presented a number of papers on topics ranging from Jean-Paul Sartre's Trojan Women to the construction of human rights in German and Austrian politics. In the coming winter semester, Matthew will be begin taking courses at the University of Klagenfurt as a part of the Game and Engineering Studies Master's Program. Matthew enjoys climbing, games, books, Dungeons and Dragons, and the stories that bring people together to form a more just, verdant, and peaceful world.
