Michaela Bruns graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a minor in German from Gonzaga University, where she also competed for Gonzaga’s cross-country and track & field teams. In her free time she enjoys photography, running, and sci-fi and fantasy books and TV shows. she also loves animals. Her parents have a small farm with a variety of animals that include a dog, cats, chickens, geese, dwarf goats, mini-donkeys, and alpacas. She loves meeting new people and helping others. In high school and college, she tutored both mathematics and German. Over the years, Michaela has hosted exchange students from Germany, Italy, and Japan, and these have been some of the best experiences of her life. She studied abroad in Graz, Austria, and absolutely loved it. Michaela currently has friends from all over the world, and she looks forward to continuing to make new friendships with all different kinds of people, from different languages and different cultures. As a US teaching assistant, she is looking forward to sharing her love of language and culture with others.
