Helen Poe graduated from Georgetown University in 2022 with a bachelor of arts in German and Russian. Her coursework at Georgetown emphasized German and Austrian literature from the interwar period as well as contemporary German and Eastern European women's literature. While enrolled at Georgetown, she worked as a research assistant at the German Historical Institute in Washington, DC, assisted professors with research and translation projects, and completed a senior honors thesis on the portrayal of domestic violence in contemporary Russian poetry and popular music. Helen also attended the Russian Graduate Program at Middlebury College in Summer 2021 and has previously led English-language public-speaking workshops in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
