Previously, he served as a Schuman Trainee at the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament, where he worked on the EU’s foreign-policy instruments NDICI-Global Europe and Ukraine Facility. Florian's experience extends to the nonprofit sector, where he was a Public Affairs Impact Fellow at the Salzburg Global Seminar. At the Labor Mobility and Social Inclusion Department in the International Organization for Migration’s office for the MENA region in Cairo, he focused on skills mobility partnerships between North African, European, and Gulf countries. Prior to his position in Egypt, he interned at the Austrian embassy in Washington, DC.
Florian is an advocate for migration and refugee rights and was active in the NGOs Volkshilfe and Caritas, serving refugee populations at reception centers and integration programs. His academic and professional work is centered on reforming global governance structures to foster just and inclusive foreign policy. He holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, politics, and economics from Stockholm University and Paris Lodron University of Salzburg.

He holds a BSc Hons in artificial intelligence and computer science from the University of Edinburgh and an MSc in data science from the University of Amsterdam. Besides his academic career, Riccardo worked in the renewable-energy, transportation, and software-engineering sectors before starting his journey at MIT, where he is puruing his research on socioeconomic-access equality in transportation, attempting to shape a more equal urban fabric for all. As an Austrian Fulbright student, Riccardo engages in the cultural and social exchange at MIT and beyond, reflecting the values of mutual understanding.

Her works are sociopolitical and intrinsically optimistic. She builds prototypes to illustrate bold alternatives to the present and to transform choices that are difficult to imagine into something more experienceable. Her passion lies in human-human interactions mediated by technologies and multi-species justice in a time of climate crisis.
Lucy holds a master's degree in industrial design from the University of Applied Arts Vienna advised by Anab Jain from Studio Superflux, and was a visiting student at the University of Lapland in Finland, where she learned about arctic design methodologies tailored to the environmental, cultural, and political challenges of the Arctic region.
Her cooperation partners and clients include Sámi Education Institute, Wirtschaftsagentur Wien, and Het Nieuwe Instituut. Her works are part of international exhibitions and festivals, including London Design Week (GB), Vienna Design Week (AT), Ars Electronica (AT), Nordic Film Festival (NO), Museum of Applied Arts (AT), Triennale di Milano (IT), and Shenzhen Biennale (CN).

This coming spring semester, he will be teaching his own German 101 course while continuing his work as a tutor at the college. Before coming to the US, Daniel completed his MA in English linguistics at the University of Salzburg. After his time in the US, he plans to pursue a doctorate in second-language acquisition (SLA).

In the fall and spring semesters, she is teaching German 1010. Post-graduation, Agnes aims to work at the intersection of teaching and policy research. Her goal is to contribute to reshaping current approaches to educational policy, placing a strong emphasis on inclusion and advocating for practices that prioritize equity and multiculturalism.
