Sonia Niżnik specializes in negotiation in her interdisciplinary MA degree in conflict resolution at Brandeis University.
Since graduating from the University of Vienna with a degree in international development studies in 2011, Sonia has been working on international cooperation and EU-Africa relations. She was a policy advisor at the European and the Austrian parliaments, supported international organizations and think tanks in policy outreach, and advocated for more effective development cooperation on behalf of NGOs. She was based in Brussels, Geneva, and Vienna.
During her year in Boston at Brandeis University’s Heller School for Social Policy and Management—ranked amongst the top 10 schools in this field—Sonia seeks to develop her negotiation, mediation, and facilitation skills. She has a strong interest in organizational behavior, change, and innovation processes in international public-policy institutions.
