Sebastian Grund is an LLM candidate at Harvard Law School. Prior to joining HLS, Sebastian served as a legal counsel at the European Central Bank (2016–19), focusing on banking supervision and resolution, central bank accountability, and the legal aspects of monetary policy operations. He holds an undergraduate in law and a doctoral degree in international financial law, both from the University of Vienna. He was an exchange student at the University of Copenhagen (2014) and a visiting PhD researcher at the University of New South Wales, Sydney (2015). Sebastian’s research has been published in renowned academic journals, such as the Fordham International Law Journal, the Capital Markets Law Journal, and the European Law Review. Sebastian is rowing for Harvard's graduate rowing team but has not yet become a fan of the weather in New England.
