US teaching assistant (USTA) Adam Brock will join us on Zoom to talk about his USTA experience and his new book, My Song to Sing, and to offer advice for future program participants seeking to go to Austria. The community is also invited to take part in the Q&A session at the end of the webinar.
Join us on Zoom as USTA Adam Brock shares his Fulbright experience and talks about his new book.
Adam Brock is a second-year US teaching assistant in Austria. He lives in Graz and spent last year teaching lessons about the English language and US culture at BRG Leibnitz and HTBLA Kaindorf a.d. Sulm. Outside of the classroom, Adam got involved in local music and sports communities, enjoyed hiking all around Styria, and wrote his first book. He recently published My Song to Sing, a memoir that describes his transformational journey through high school and college that ultimately led to his acceptance of the USTA position.
A native of Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, Adam graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Temple University in Spring 2020 and studied abroad in Derry, Northern Ireland, and Leipzig, Germany, during his undergraduate studies. He is fascinated by storytelling and looks forward to continuing a dialogue between the US and Austria during the upcoming school year.
Adam’s book is currently available on Amazon both in the US and in the EU.

About the alum chat webinar series: This webinar series is an initiative to feature notable Fulbright Austria alums who continue to make a positive impact beyond their Fulbright Austria experience. In turn, we hope our alums’ accomplishments, accounts, and expertise will inspire other members of our community as they strive to achieve their own aspirations.
