Giving back goes beyond just the Fulbright Austria community; making a contribution focused on the population at large helps promote the Fulbright mission by allowing us to see and address the needs of our fellow citizens and residents. 

To commemorate the global Fulbright Program's 80th anniversary, The Fulbright Association has organized the Fulbright Assocation Global Day of Service for 1 August 2026. For our contribution to this global initiative, Fulbright Austria has decided to launch a month-long donation drive for books and school supplies. By running our drive for a month rather than a single day, we create space for a larger portion of the Fulbright Austria community to contribute—and we hope you'll be a part of our act of service!

All books and school supplies entrusted to us by our community will be donated to two local charities: carla/Caritas and Integrationshaus. By donating to these two charities, we can help not just kids who were born in Austria, but also kids from other countries working to integrate into Austrian society, an experience every US citizen who has participated in our programs can identify with. Through their combined outreach, these two charities can have a significant impact on the children who will grow up to become the country's teachers, leaders, businesspeople, and so much more.
