FOLD stands for Fulbrighters of the Last Decades. The FOLD Symposium aims to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas, promote networking, and build stronger connections among current program participants and alums. This year’s FOLD was funded in collaboration with Fulbright Bulgaria and Central European University and seeks to build further bridges between both demographics.
Save the date and start planning to join Fulbright Austria alum Bailey Fernandez for the symposium, entitled “Listen Up!: A Joint Austro-Bulgarian FOLD Symposium for Disability, Inclusion, and Fulbrighters of the Last Decades.” The symposium will take place on 14 June 2024 in Upper Austria with the aim of supporting US, Austrian, and Bulgarian collaboration in the disability sector. The event will include keynote speeches by Ashod Derandonyan (deaf.BG) and Barbara Levc (Uniability) and a panel moderated by the Zero Project featuring Katrin Nuppenau (ATHENA Project), Ivelina Gadzheva (DesignForAll Bulgaria), and a representative from Gallaudet University.
