The Jewish Museum Vienna (JMV) cordially invites the Fulbright Austria community to a tour of two special exhibitions: Viennese Nostalgia – Connected Memories of Emil Singer and Who Cares? Jewish Responses to Suffering. Curator Caitlin Gura, a 2013–14 US Fulbright student and 2013–15 US teaching assistant, will guide you through her latest projects, which entail unique stories of Austrian-American relations. Prior to the tour, you can mingle with fellow community members at a sparkling reception generously organized by the JMW. Registration is mandatory, and attendance is limited to twenty-five alums. The deadline to register is 17:00 CET on Thursday, 27 June.
Mark your calendars and join us for a tour at the Jewish Museum Vienna!
About Caitlin:
During her year as a Fulbright student, Caitlin explored how Viennese art-history museums interpret and exhibit Austrian cultural identity. “My Fulbright experience made clear to me how museums play a central role in facilitating transcultural dialogue to foster mutual understanding in the community, both at the local and international level.” Having joined the JMW’s curatorial team in 2018, she has continued to pursue her passion for museology and Austrian culture in her professional career.
Sponsorship:
We would like to thank the JMW and Caitlin for generously sponsoring this event!
