On 26 September 2026, Fulbright Austria organized the first-ever Austrian-American FriendshipFest hosted by TU Wien to celebrate the enduring relationship between Austria, the US, and the peoples of both countries. This event also celebrated the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. The celebration included informative talks and panel discussions, musical performances and sports demonstrations, and a food court with Austrian and American culinary specialties. The full-day event concluded with a homecoming ceremony to welcome returning Austrian students, scholars, and teaching assistants and celebrate their status as alums of our programs.
