Fulbright Austria proudly participated in the 2024 NAFSA’s 2024 Annual Conference & Expo held from 28 May to 31 May in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana. The event attracted thousands of experts in international education from all over the world, offering the prime platform for networking, learning, and collaboration in the US. We embraced this opportunity to present our programs for student, scholars, and teaching assistance in Austria and the US and to highlight the EducationUSA services we offer.
Fulbright Austria shines in New Orleans
1 July 2024Representatives of Fulbright Austria attended the 2024 NAFSA conference and co-hosted a reception with partners from Austria and Germany.
Fulbright Austria engaged in a working meeting with Fulbright executive directors organized by the US Department of State. The meeting facilitated critical discussions on recent global developments and allowed for the exchange of insights to help shape the future of the Fulbright Program, including local and global initiatives. These conversations are vital for ensuring the program's continued relevance and effectiveness in promoting mutual understanding and international cooperation.
Another key component of our participation in the 2024 NAFSA conference was the Fulbright institutional training organized by the Institute of International Education. Held on 30 May at Holy Cross University, this training gave us a chance to meet with student advisors and representatives from US campuses. The discussions focused on the recruitment and selection of US students and scholars as well as alum relations. We are grateful for being part of this important training session.

This special event brought together members of the Fulbright community in the United States, including alums and representatives from partner institutions. The reception provided a wonderful opportunity to reconnect and celebrate our collective dedication to international education and exchange.
