Fulbright Program wins Prince of Asturias Award June 12, 2014

The Fulbright Program was awarded the 2014 Prince of Asturias Award for International Cooperation on June 12, 2014, as announced by the Prince of Asturias Foundation. Widely considered to be “Spain’s Nobel Prize,” the Prince of Asturias Award exists “to reward scientific, technical, cultural, social, and humanitarian work carried out at an international level by individuals, institutions or groups of individuals or institutions.”

US Secretary of State John Kerry congratulated the Fulbright Program in a statement Thursday: "The Fulbright Program is extraordinary. I know that as the father of a Fulbright Scholar, and I know it as a Secretary of State who travels and meets enormous numbers of foreign leaders – in parliaments and palaces – whose first connection to America was through Fulbright." >>more
