Twenty-one new US Fulbright Students and two US Scholars joined us for the fall 2018 US Fulbright orientation in Vienna. The fall 2018 US Fulbright orientation featured thought-provoking lectures and discussions in Fulbright Austria's Q21 offices with guests from the US Embassy Vienna, the Austrian Academy of Sciences, and the Haus der Geschichte Österreich.
The comprehensive orientation program also included a walking tour of Vienna's Ringstraße with Executive Director Dr. Lonnie Johnson and an evening reception with Fulbright Austria alumni and departing grantees that His Excellency Trevor D. Traina, US Ambassador to Austria, graciously hosted at his residence. On the last day of our weeklong program, our new grantees enjoyed an informative walking tour of the Melk Abbey followed by a trip down the Danube to the beautiful town of Dürnstein, where we celebrated the close of the orientation week with a glass of wine.
You can get a better look at the entire US Fulbright orientation in our Facebook album and at ambassador's reception in particular in the US Embassy Vienna's photo album.
