Your donations make a world of difference to our students, scholars, and teaching assistants. Kathrin Wenny, who is a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign this year, shares her story:
“I grew up in a small village in the north of Austria, spent most evenings reading books about foreign cultures and countries by the tiled stove, the heart of our wooden house, and dreamed of going abroad and traveling from one place to another. I knew that I wanted to go even further as a language teacher, to become more skilled and encourage others in learning, and Fulbright Austria has provided me with this unique opportunity I will be forever grateful for.”
Robert Apple, the US Student from the University of Memphis currently at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz with a Fulbright-Mach award as a PhD student, also wants to share his thanks:
“I am particularly thankful because the Fulbright-Mach award has allowed me to finally travel to Austria for nine months to study the sources of keyed trumpet music to which I have been wanting to gain access and, just as importantly, is allowing me to meet other professionals in my field with whom I hope to become life-long colleagues and friends.”

Be part of our annual call for support! The Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research has provided incentive funding to match each contribution to our alumni fund this year. All donations will be used for grants and grant-enhancing activities, and you have this unique opportunity to double your impact.
