This grant consists of a flexible combination of teaching, advising students, and collaborative research that entails teaching two courses (classes meet once a week for 90 minutes).
The format, content and level of the individual courses (advanced undergraduate and graduate) and research foci are negotiated on a consensual basis with the host institution, contingent upon the grantee's interests and expertise. Furthermore, NAWI Graz highly appreciates if candidates conduct at least one extracurricular activity aiming to foster the students' networking skills (organizational support will be provided).
This teaching and research grant is open to faculty of all academic ranks with a PhD, appropriate teaching experience, and relevant expertise. Professionals with requisite experience may apply.
All applicants must have US citizenship. (Having a US green card, permanent residency, or a residency permit is not sufficient.)
Instruction is in English. Some knowledge of German is advantageous for Fulbright scholars, but not required.
Fulbright Austria expects applicants to take all possible measures to avoid plagiarism. For resources on plagiarism, please visit these external resources:
The IIE catalog with the official grant text and full award details is available from early February to mid-September.
I’m truly grateful for my host institute of ACFC at TU-Graz, for my colleagues and my students. They’ve done so much to accommodate me and to make my Fulbright experience meaningful, in spite of all the limitations imposed by COVID.
