Henry Blood was a 2023–24 recipient of the Fulbright-Mach Award for Doctoral Candidates. Henry's affiliate for his research project was the University of Vienna, and his reserarch project was entitled Railroads and the Transformation of State and Society in the Habsburg Empire. ...this award has allowed me to finally travel to Austria for nine months to study the sources of keyed trumpet music to which I have been wanting to gain access and, just as importantly, is allowing me to meet other professionals in my field with whom I hope to become life-long colleagues and friends.
