As a Fulbright student at the University of Arkansas in 1951–52 I met Senator Fulbright at a dinner given by the business and professional women and Altrusa Club. About 80 persons sat at the festive tables decorated with dolls in national costumes from all over the world. After dinner we all obtained an autograph of "Bill" Fulbright and were overwhelmed by his kindness. He told us that he had been to Europe and even had visited Mariazell in Austria...
