I went to Vienna, Austria to further my studies as an opera singer. Fulbright Austria afforded me the ability to live in Vienna and study at the Conservatory of Music there. I received a second year term... which enabled me to start performing there as a singer as well as study. I stayed on in Vienna, and began my career in German opera houses.
26 years later, I am a world-renowned opera singer who performs internationally and have created a career and life that began with the opportunity to study abroad, through Fulbright. And I am very grateful for that.
