As a student of Art History at Vienna University I had a wonderfully rich year at the Art History department in Berkeley. Not only academically my time there was a big success, but I also met brilliant other scholars from different fields. I am still in contact with many, some became close friends. Being a "Fulbright" also opened doors to an internship program at the MOMA in NY before returning to Vienna University, where I finished my studies.
After teaching art and art history for some years I work as a free lance art historian, curator and art educator for Viennese museums, art institutions and companies. My main field of research and writing is contemporary art, which I came to love especially during my stay in the US. I wish many, many others will be able to participate in the Fulbright program and have similar experiences.
