For me as a young student of physics and math it was the experience of a lifetime to study at Brandeis University, a place of great academic reputation. I also was welcomed so cordially by my host parents and made many friends which very much formed my image of the United States and their friendly people.
Especially for young people the Fulbright Program promotes not only academic and scientific progress, but also very much fosters understanding between the countries of origin and the United States which is one of the most important things in our troubled times.
