Botstiber Foundation Extends Funding for Fulbright-Botstiber Scholar Awards

The Austrian-American Educational Commission is pleased to announce the board of the Dietrich W. Botstiber Foundation’s Institute for Austrian-American Studies has awarded the Austrian Fulbright Commission $ 120,000 to extend funding for Austrian and American Fulbright-Botstiber Scholar awards for an additional three years.

We were pleased to host part of the first EducationUSA LLM tour in Western Europe on November 10, 2015! The LLM Fair at the Juridicum Wien provided an opportunity for local students to meet representatives from 20 US law schools; and, in turn, enabled US representatives to meet highly qualified and motivated European students.

Fulbright Orientation in Vienna September 22-25, 2015

Twenty-one new US Fulbright student grantees and four scholars participated in the fall 2015 US Fulbright orientation, which included lectures and discussions in Fulbright Austria's Q21 offices, a reception held by H.E. Ambassador Alexa Wesner, a walking tour of Vienna's Ringstrasse, and a field trip to the beautiful Wachau valley.

Fulbright Program wins Prince of Asturias Award June 12, 2014

The Fulbright Program was awarded the 2014 Prince of Asturias Award for International Cooperation on June 12, 2014, as announced by the Prince of Asturias Foundation. Widely considered to be “Spain’s Nobel Prize,” the Prince of Asturias Award exists “to reward scientific, technical, cultural, social, and humanitarian work carried out at an international level by individuals, institutions or groups of individuals or institutions.”
