Fulbright Orientation in Vienna September 22-25, 2015

Twenty-one new US Fulbright student grantees and four scholars participated in the fall 2015 US Fulbright orientation, which included lectures and discussions in Fulbright Austria's Q21 offices, a reception held by H.E. Ambassador Alexa Wesner, a walking tour of Vienna's Ringstrasse, and a field trip to the beautiful Wachau valley.

House and Senate Appropriations Committees Recommend Maintaining Fulbright Funding

The House and Senate Committees on Appropriations and their Subcommittes on State-Foreign Relations have provided some good news in the recent fight to reverse the proposed 30 million dollar cut to the Fulbright Program (see SaveFulbright.org, an initiative of concernced Fulbright alumni, for more information).

Fulbright Program wins Prince of Asturias Award June 12, 2014

The Fulbright Program was awarded the 2014 Prince of Asturias Award for International Cooperation on June 12, 2014, as announced by the Prince of Asturias Foundation. Widely considered to be “Spain’s Nobel Prize,” the Prince of Asturias Award exists “to reward scientific, technical, cultural, social, and humanitarian work carried out at an international level by individuals, institutions or groups of individuals or institutions.”
