Originally from Batavia, New York, Michael Hughes earned a bachelor of science in business administration from the State University of New York College at Geneseo in 2020. He was awarded a Community-Based Combined Grant for the 2022–23 program year and continued teaching English in Austria through his work as a US teaching assistant in the 2023–24 program year. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in the “European Studies – Management of EU Projects” program at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland. Transitioning from a Fulbright Austria program participant to his current role as a project assistant, Michael is eager to contribute to the organization while gaining valuable experience in project management. He looks forward to deepening his understanding of the organization’s operations at an administrative level and learning from the team.
