The Fulbright Program promotes “mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries by means of educational and cultural exchange.” As cultural ambassadors, our program participants help us fulfill this mission and strengthen the ties that unite Austria and the US. In 2002, Fulbright Austria and the Diplomatic Academy (DA) agreed to co-fund a grant for a degree-seeking US Fulbright student. The award was discontinued in 2015. Eight years later, we are thrilled that Fulbright Austria and the DA will relaunch the Fulbright-Diplomatic Academy Student Award starting in the 2024–25 program year.
New opportunities for US Fulbright students: The Fulbright-Diplomatic Academy Student Award
12 January 2023Fulbright Austria is delighted to announce the relaunch of the Fulbright-Diplomatic Academy Student Award, which offers exciting opportunities for US students.
The DA is a center of excellence in international affairs and is devoted to preparing bright college and university graduates for their leadership positions in public service and in international organizations and businesses. Students receive outstanding education in political science, international relations and law, economics, and history.
The grant will allow a qualified student to enroll for one year in the programs that the DA offers for university graduates: its diploma program; its Master of Advanced International Studies (MAIS) program; the Master of Science in Environmental Technology and International Relations (ETIA) program, or the Master of Science in Digital International Affairs (DIA) program.
We are so delighted that this co-funded grant is returning to our portfolio of opportunities, allowing us to start the next chapter of our partnership with the DA.
