Below is a list of a few domestic and international groups available to Fulbrighters and US teaching assistants from the Fulbright Austria community.
The purpose of the Austrian Fulbright Alumni association, whose activities are not aimed at profit, is to enhance cooperation, research, and teaching amongst current and former Fulbright Austria grantees in scientific, cultural, and educational fields, to establish and deepen social contacts, and to support Fulbright Austria’s mission.
US teaching assistants cannot join this association at the moment.

The aim of the Fulbright Austria Alum Chapter Styria is to promote mutual understanding, cooperation, and knowledge transfer between Austria and the United States by creating activities to promote this mission and build meaningful relationships with Fulbright’s current program participants, US teaching assistants, alums, partners, future Fulbrighters, and local community members in the Austrian province of Styria.

ASciNA is committed to creating personal connections and to developing exchanges with a network of diverse scientist and scholars in many fields. Their goal is enhancing the representation of the interests of Austrian scholars and scientists, provide professional development support, create meaningful events, and much more. There chapters span the globe and have strong connections with federal ministries, universities, and more.
Annual dues required: There are three subscription options, two of which require annual dues.
Fulbridge aims to build bridges between Fulbrighters from different countries and cohorts.

The Fulbright Association is for US Fulbrighters and has over 50 local chapters. Their aim is to connect alums with friends who support international education and cultural understanding, create networking opportunities, and provide service projects both at home in the US and abroad.
Alums of the USTA program can join this association as ‘Friends of Fulbright’.
Annual dues required: There are six subscription options, five of which require membership fees.
Fulbright Families knows how scary it can be to move your family to another country. Like you, they once sat at a computer and carefully crafted their applications and thought really hard about how their family members would be impacted. They are dedicated to creating a space where potential applicants with dependents and Fulbright alums can develop meaningful connections and expand knowledge about applying for the Fulbright program and traveling with dependents.

Fulbright HBCU highlights the stories of grantees and alums who attended HBCUs and increases student participation in the Fulbright Program.

Fulbright LatinX is an inclusive community that features Latinx Fulbrighters.
Annual dues required: No.
Fulbright Lotus is a diversity initiative that centers on promoting and supporting Asian Fulbrighters. Their mission is to offer guidance and educational support to members of the Asian diaspora. Fulbright Lotus stands in solidarity with fellow Asian Fulbrighters by raising awareness and visibility for issues the community faces.

Fulbright Noir is a platform and community of black Fulbrighters committed to increasing representation within the Fulbright Program by highlighting the experiences and projects of black grantees.
Annual dues required: No.
Fulbright Prism is a United States 501(c)(3), non-governmental, not-for-profit organization that serves Fulbright Program grantees, alums, staff, and administrators who identify with a marginalized orientation, gender affiliation, or sex (or LGBTQ). Through Fulbright Prism's support, they hope that these Fulbrighters may better effectuate the separate and very important purposes of the Fulbright Program around the world and increase cross-cultural awareness of LGBTQ experiences.

Fulbright Salam is an independent initiative that shares stories of Muslim Fulbrighters. They seek to open a space that showcases the diversity of cultures, interests, and experiences of Muslim scholars and educators.

The Fulbrighter Network is a platform where Fulbrighters can come together online to network and engage with each other in hopes of improving understanding of our complex and changing world. Also, the network has a career opportunity section where global job postings can be found. Alums of both the Fulbright Program and the USTA program may join this platform as alums of Fulbright Austria.

International Exchange Alumni is an online platform that allows participants of past and present US government-sponsored exchange programs to network, find out about possible grants and funding, and share their stories.
Alums of the USTA program cannot join this platform at the moment.

Austrian researchers and innovators looking for support while they are abroad in North America can join RINA, a network committed to creating a platform for researchers to share their achievements, professional development, and provide information on funding and career opportunities.
